Fréau forest - Nov 22

Our nearly 9km walk last Friday was led by Steve. Most of the walk was in the beautiful Fréau forest, at its best with the wonderful autumn colours. There were 9 of us, all well-equipped to face the ever-changing weather. It was raining when we left, but then it turned out fine, except for a few drops of rain at the end too, and mud in the middle. Some big crawlers were being used in the forest and they had damaged the path completely. As a result, it was very muddy and slippery on a short part of the walk and one of the ladies fell. Fortunately, she took with a smile…

Back at Steve’s house, we were offered delicious cakes that Sue had been busy making while we were having the walk.

Thank you very much, Steve and Sue for your hearty welcome.
