Meal at L'Aristide on 27th October

Updated: Nov 5, 2021

The Gourmand Group's first meal of the year on Wednesday, October 27th was a showstopper. 6 members and 2 guests lunched at L’Aristide, Huelgoat; the small restaurant with a big passion for food.

Owners Sylvain Chaduteau and Keti Cardoso present traditional Breton food with a modern twist. Entrées were fresh and light leading into a choice of 4 main dishes. We chose monkfish tail, roast pork, and roast duck; they were all served with buttery mash, autumn vegetables and delicious sauces, each dish looking like a work of art with a fresh flower and herb garnish.

Being “gourmands” we had to have dessert. Who knew a Far Breton could be dressed up to look so pretty and to taste so good?

We felt obliged to try the rosé, red and white house wines and were not disappointed.

There were clean plates all round and a unanimous view that we had had a great dining experience.
