Nature Club Meeting 25th April 2022
A productive and enjoyable meeting of the Nature Club, organized by Caroline, took place on Monday 25 Avril in a beautiful setting at Maël-Carhaix, thanks to Jayne and John.
Among many other topics, we talked about protecting and recognizing insects. John and Jayne suggested the use of the Obsidentify App as a useful tool for identification. He has been constructing insect hotels and we agreed that although perhaps slightly late in the year they should be of use to some insects if installed outside before the end of this month in a sunny and protected position. We agreed since insects are of interest to us all and, like almost all forms of wild fauna, they are now in appalling decline, that any protection we can provide could well be beneficial.
Before parting, we also had a close look at John and Jayne’s pond.
